For organizing an AMAZING workshop for the Environmental Health division, “Waterborne Illness Response and Sampling Workshop”. For organizing the training for proper water collection/handling and Legionella testing for Contra Costa personnel and expanding it to a full -day workshop that was attended in-person by locals and virtually by representatives from several different counties throughout the state. For bringing in, along with Dr. Donna Ferguson, experts from CDPH, a private local water lab, and other knowledgeable consultants to discuss proper water collection for Legionella, Giardia and Crypto, covering the complex processes and timing of laboratory testing, as well as offering resources/advice of what to do in an urgent situation. For arranging with HERU to provide IT meeting support.
