Our graduates are highly sought after for their broad range of clinical skills and ability to take care of patients in any setting. The majority of our graduates take positions working with the rural or urban underserved populations in Northern California and beyond, including international work. Many become faculty members at Family Medicine residency programs, while others work in emergency departments, as hospitalists (including ICU work), and as OB faculty. Many do fellowships (OB, hospital medicine, palliative care, HIV, global health, rural medicine).

As of 2023, 44% of our graduates in the last 10 years have practiced in acute care settings (Emergency medicine, Hospital Medicine, Obstetrics including surgical OB, Inpatient Pediatrics), many in addition to an ambulatory practice. Over 30% are working in Contra Costa County.
