When you volunteer your time, energy, and talents to one of our many opportunities, you help your community. Your time is always valued, and some opportunities rely heavily on volunteers.

We understand that busy lives can make it hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous. They include:

  • Having a positive impact on your community
  • Bring meaning and purpose to your life
  • Meeting new people can help you feel more connected and valued
  • Maintaining positive mental and physical health
  • Developing or strengthening new skills in stimulating challenges
  • Discovering a career path (It is important to note that while we truly value your time and energy, volunteering with Contra Costa County does not lead to paid employment.)
