The antidote to an opioid overdose

Naloxone is a life-saving medication used to reverse an opioid overdose, including heroin, fentanyl and prescription opioid medications. Naloxone is most commonly used as a nasal spray (brand name “Narcan”). You don’t need to be a medical professional to safely use Narcan on someone experiencing an overdose. Narcan nasal spray can be purchased at many pharmacies over the counter

Naloxone is safe and easy to use and works almost immediately. It has very few negative effects, and has no effect if opioids are not in a person’s system. Best of all, it can save someone’s life!
