HIV/STI Program
We are dedicated to helping those affected by HIV and AIDS. Our HIV/STI Program is dedicated to fostering the development, implementation and coordination of programs to:
- Reduce the transmission of HIV and STIs (sexually transmitted infections).
- Provide comprehensive services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
- Enhance community awareness of HIV/AIDS to increase understanding and compassion.
HIV/STI Services
We provide comprehensive medical and social support services to people with HIV/AIDS in our community and work to reduce the stigma of HIV/AIDS.
Education and prevention services, including:
- Free condoms and lube
- HIV, Syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and Hepatitis C testing services
- PrEP Navigation
- Training for community and providers
Services for people living with HIV and their families
The HIV/STI Program offers medical/nurse case management and referrals to support services including:
- Access to clinic-based medical social workers and HIV early intervention services
- Enrollment in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
- Mental Health
- Substance Abuse Services
- Housing Support
- Food and Transportation Assistance
- Health Education/Risk Reduction
- Nutrition
- Dental
- Emergency Support for food, rides, and utilities
- In-home care and community care
- Partner Notifications
Eligibility
Be sure that you qualify for this program by meeting the following requirements:
- You are a resident of Contra Costa County and can verify it.
- You are eligible for Medi-Cal/Medicare or have some form of insurance in place.
- Your total income is below 500% of the Federal Poverty Level.
STIs
The STI Program provides services for syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, including:
- Screening
- Diagnosis
- Treatment service and follow-up
- Partner Notification Services
