Contra Costa’s Community Warning System (CWS) is an all-hazards community notification system intended to alert residents about any potential health hazards and emergencies that may be occurring.

Residents can sign up to receive these CWS alerts by phone, text or email whenever there may be a threat to public health or safety. These alerts can be triggered by hazardous material releases from oil refineries, or other facilities and incidents.
