What is household hazardous waste?

Household hazardous waste, or HHW, refers to items used in your home that may be toxic or dangerous under certain circumstances or could become dangerous when thrown away with your regular trash or recycling.

This includes computers, cell phones, and other electronics; batteries and paints; light bulbs; and more.
