It's important to know how and when to get tested for COVID-19. Testing can give you peace of mind, provide you with information you need to make decisions about your health and help slow the spread of the virus in our community. Getting test is a good idea if you have COVID-19 symptoms or if you've been exposed to someone with the virus.

Home Tests

Home tests, also known as rapid antigen tests, can be bought at a pharmacy or online. FDA-approved home tests are good at detecting active infections when someone has COVID-19 symptoms and are a great and convenient way to find out if you're infected.

Contra Costa Health offers free home test kits for both individual county residents (up to 4 tests) and local partner organizations (in bulk). Click the links below to order your free COVID-19 tests.
