The Diagnostic Imaging Department is located on the 3rd floor of the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides diagnostic services (routine and specialized) and interpretation for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients of all ages, encompassing neonates to geriatric patients.

The department provides patients a comprehensive array of high quality, high-tech imaging modalities including:

  • General Diagnostic Computed Radiology
  • Digital Radiology and Fluoroscopy
  • Multi-Purpose Special Procedures Imaging
  • Orthopanogram
  • Computerized Tomography (CT Scan)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI Scan)
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Ultrasound
  • Digital Mammography
  • Teleradiology

Using advanced networking capabilities allows for the digital transmission of images. Physicians in all areas including the Emergency Department, ICU and CCU are now able to view images and receive the results of a patient's diagnostic imaging exam within minutes.

The Department's hours of operation are 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. If the diagnostic examination cannot be performed at CCRMC, patients will be referred to an outside imaging service provider. The outside service providers are evaluated for the quality of care they provide our patients on a continuing basis.
