Spiritual care volunteersContra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) is dedicated to caring for the whole person and giving patients, their families and loved ones an experience of a safe, listening environment where spiritual, emotional, and physical healing can occur.

Our Spiritual Care team is here to support you and your family. Our spiritual care volunteers offer spiritual and emotion support to patients, their families and loved ones, as well as support to our doctors, nurses and staff. We serve all faiths as well as those who do not have a faith preference or belief.

We do not teach, preach, proselytize, give advice or attempt to "fix" personal problems. Our ministry is more challenging to truly "be with" others in times of suffering as a caring presence.

For Catholic Christians

Catholic Christian Volunteers at CCRMC offer Holy Communion and prayers in English and Spanish for patients and their families in the hospital.

Special Volunteers and Religious Leaders

Special volunteers and religious leaders from the local religious communities respond to our request for support as needed and by request. Contact Spiritual Care to arrange a visit.
