Our Commitment to the Community

The emergency department (ED) is an open door to the community to get the care they need. Patients can walk into the ED or be delivered via ambulance. Our doctors and nurses are committed to helping patients regardless of insurance or legal status. However, please keep in mind that these services are intended for emergency medical situations only.

Our ED is not the primary trauma center in the county. Patients can be taken to other facilities when requested, when resources in the hospital are not available or when specialized services not available at CCRMC are needed.

Timely Care

Because speed and efficiency are critical in emergencies, we designed the emergency department to help patients move through the healthcare system and improve patient care. Timely, high-quality care is of utmost importance, so specialty consultations are available continuously and within 30 minutes.

There is a pleasant waiting area for patients and their families.

Psychiatric Emergencies

CCRMC is a referral center for patients on involuntary psychiatric holds. The emergency department works with mental health crisis services to screen and treat acute diseases of patients prior to their stay in the psychiatric crisis unit.
