Oakley, CA

The Contra Costa Water District's (CCWD) Randall-Bold Water Treatment Plant supplies filtered and disinfected water to the general public for drinking and other uses. The plant was constructed jointly by the Contra Costa Water District and the Oakley Water district in 1992. The Oakley Water District is now known as the Diablo Water District. The plant is located approximately 0.75 miles southeast of Highway 4.

Disinfection involves addition of chlorine gas, ozone and aqueous ammonia to the water to destroy bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens that may harm public health.
