Meeting Schedule & Location

The EMCC meets quarterly and all meetings of the EMCC and its subcommittees are open to the public.

Meetings will normally be held at the Contra Costa Emergency Medical Services, 777 Arnold Drive, Suite 100, Martinez. However, meeting location may change; please check the agendas once posted.

2024 meetings are scheduled for:

  • March 25
  • June 24
  • September TBD
  • December TBD

Membership

Each county may, under the Health & Safety Code, establish an Emergency Medical Care Committee (EMCC) with membership prescribed and appointed by the county board of supervisors. The EMCC is an advisory body to the board of supervisors and EMS Agency on all matters relating to EMS. The Contra Costa EMCC consists of five consumer representatives, one from each of the five supervisorial districts, and representatives of the following groups and organizations:

  • American Heart Association
  • American Red Cross
  • California Highway Patrol
  • Contra Costa Ambulance Provider
  • Air Medical Transportation Provider (Contra Costa Authorized)
  • Emergency Department Physician-from a Contra Costa County Receiving Hospital
  • Emergency Nurses Association-from a Contra Costa County Receiving Hospital
  • Contra Costa Fire Chiefs’ Association
  • Field Paramedic (1 private/1public)
  • County Health Services-Behavioral Health
  • Hospital Council — Bay Area Division - from a Contra Costa County Receiving Hospital
  • Contra Costa EMS Training Institution
  • County Office of Emergency Services
  • Contra Costa Police Chiefs’ Association
  • Contra Costa Public Managers’ Association
  • Contra Costa Office of the Sheriff
  • Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association-from a Contra Costa County Receiving Hospital
