What is the delivery system?

The Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System is a managed care program that covers benefits for substance use disorders. Originally created as a requirement by the state, these benefits are now available to many Contra Costans.

Who does this impact?

If you are a Medi-Cal beneficiary in Contra Costa County, you have access to these substance use services.

A qualified physician or Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) must determine the services to be medically necessary for you to receive them.

If you are curious about this program, call the Behavioral Health Access Line at 1-800-846-1652. You can find more information about the next steps you need to take.

For current beneficiaries, please read our handbook for any questions you may have.
